Picking a booster ampoule by skin concern

Nine STAYVE Booster ampoules, nine stated purposes — the catalogue pairs each one with a single feature and a named key ingredient, which makes the choice a consultation decision rather than a guess.

Why the ampoule choice carries more weight in MTS

In a manual facial, the formula is filtered by the skin barrier before it can do anything. The manufacturer's catalogue puts the absorption of ordinary cosmetics at roughly 0.03 to 2 per cent even for the smallest particle sizes. In a microneedling treatment that filter is bypassed: the catalogue states that with the needles penetrating the skin, a STAYVE Booster ampoule is absorbed three times more effectively.

So the ampoule on the trolley is not a garnish. It is the treatment. The nine ampoules in the Booster range are sold in 8 ml vials and are meant to be matched to one dominant concern at a time.

The nine, as the catalogue lists them

AmpouleFeature (manufacturer)Main ingredients (manufacturer)
AC Stem Cell GoldImproves troubled skinAcetyl hexapeptide-8, Centella asiatica extract, gold
Salmon DNA GoldSkin-regenerating capacitiesSodium DNA, allantoin, gold

CollagenEnhances the skin's elasticityHydrolysed collagen, tocopheryl acetate

MicrobiomeMaintaining the skin's balanceBifida ferment lysate, arginine

The wording in the middle column is the manufacturer's, and it is deliberately about what the formula is designed for rather than what it will achieve. Keep it that way when you write your own menu.

Reading the list as a consultation tool

Congested and reactive skin

For skin that breaks out or flares, the catalogue points at two different ampoules for two different problems. AC Stem Cell Gold is the one listed for troubled skin, built on acetyl hexapeptide-8 and Centella asiatica with 24K gold powder. Citron & Calendula is the soothing formula, on calendula flower water and lemon peel oil — the choice when the complaint is redness and sensitivity rather than congestion. They are not interchangeable, and the difference is worth explaining to a client who expects "the one for spots".

Repair and regeneration

Salmon DNA Gold is the catalogue's regeneration entry, carrying sodium DNA — the PDRN family — with allantoin and gold. It is the formula practitioners reach for after more aggressive work, and it is the one that appears alongside peeling protocols in the manufacturer's own programmes.

Ageing, in its two forms

The catalogue splits ageing in a way that is genuinely useful. Peptide Gold is listed under anti-ageing, with seven peptides plus adenosine. Idebenone is listed separately for natural and photo-ageing, with idebenone and sea buckthorn fruit extract — the antioxidant argument rather than the peptide one. For a client whose main history is sun rather than years, that distinction decides the ampoule.

Elasticity is a third heading again: Collagen is the ampoule the catalogue ties to the skin's elasticity, on hydrolysed collagen and tocopheryl acetate.

Hydration and tone

Aqua Stem Cell Culture is the moisture ampoule, with sodium hyaluronate and grape callus culture extract — the default for dehydrated skin and the one most often paired with a tone treatment. Whitening Stem Cell Culture is the brightening formula, on niacinamide and rice extract, and it is the natural companion to the BB Glow shades when the client's concern is uneven tone rather than coverage.

Barrier and balance

Microbiome sits slightly apart from the rest: bifida ferment lysate and arginine, listed for maintaining the skin's balance. It is the option for skin that is neither oily nor dry but simply unstable — the client who reacts to everything new.

Needle length and sequence

The instructions are identical across all nine ampoules. Apply the ampoule, then work with the machine from the chin towards the forehead, against the direction of the muscle, topping up if the product dries. Application time is ten minutes.

Needle choice depends on the programme, not the formula. The catalogue states that for Booster combined with BB Glow you should use nano or middle-length needles, while for a Booster used alone you may go to 1.0 mm or longer. That is the difference between the 0.8 mm ceiling of the plastic MTSP cartridge and the 2.5 mm reach of the metal MTS36 in the devices section — a booster-only protocol is the reason the metal cartridge exists.

The catalogue gives no instruction on combining two STAYVE Booster ampoules in a single session. For its Medisco injectable line the manufacturer explicitly says not to mix products and to leave one to two weeks between them, which is a reasonable signal of how conservatively it thinks about combinations.

Buying the range without buying nine boxes

Ampoules are sold by the box, which is an expensive way to find out which three you actually use. The manufacturer's answer is the kit format — twelve 8 ml vials in one box, described in the catalogue as ideal for beginners or academy students who want to pick and choose. Booster Starter Kit I covers AC, Salmon, Peptide, Aqua and Whitening; Starter Kit II covers Collagen, Idebenone, Microbiome, Citron & Calendula and Salmon DNA. The Customized Kit lets you specify the twelve yourself once you know your own client base.

Around the ampoule

Whichever formula you pick, the manufacturer's programmes put the same steps either side of it: cleansing milk and rose toner, then acid exfoliation and neutralisation, then the microneedling step, then a repair cream. The Facial Treat line is that sequence in products. And the MTS exclusions apply to every ampoule in the range without exception — keloid constitution, diabetes complications, skin infections and bleeding diseases.
