What a treatment room needs before you offer MTS

A microneedling service is not one purchase — it is a machine, the right cartridges, a formula shelf, a preparation sequence, an aftercare product and a hygiene rule you do not bend.

1. The machine

Everything starts with the handpiece, because it sets what the rest of the room can do. The MISSMITO wireless machine is used for both microneedling and semi-permanent procedures, which matters if you plan to offer brows and BB Glow from the same trolley rather than buying twice.

The specifications the catalogue publishes are the ones you should check against your room: 0.10 kg, 16 cm long, eight adjustable speed stages, charging over USB-C from any phone charger, supplied with a handpiece, cable, an MTS needle cartridge and a square cradle. The cradle is not an accessory — the manufacturer's stated reason for it is that the device rests on it during the procedure, which keeps the handpiece off the trolley surface between passes.

Two cautions come straight from the catalogue: it is not recommended to use the machine above 220 V, and an adaptor is recommended on 110 V supplies. The machine's wireless design is sold on the basis that you are not tied to a socket, which is genuinely useful in a room where the couch is nowhere near the wall.

2. The right needles, in the right lengths

Cartridges are the part most new practitioners under-buy. The devices section carries two MTS cartridges, and they are not alternatives — they cover different programmes:

The MTSP plastic cartridge covers nano and shallow work — and it is the cartridge required for Cherips lip treatments, where the manufacturer specifies plastic needles only. The MTS36 metal cartridge exists for the booster-only protocols, where the catalogue permits 1.0 mm or longer. If your service menu includes both a combined BB Glow programme and a standalone booster programme, you need both boxes on the shelf from day one.

3. The formula shelf

Decide what you are actually selling before you order. The two MTS families are chosen on different criteria:

  • BB Glow — four Dermawhite shades chosen by skin tone and undertone, for tone and coverage work.
  • Booster ampoules — nine formulas chosen by concern, from troubled skin and regeneration through anti-ageing, hydration, brightening, elasticity, photo-ageing, skin balance and soothing.

Buying nine boxes to find out which three you use is an expensive way to learn. The manufacturer's kits exist for exactly this reason — twelve 8 ml vials in a box, described in the catalogue as ideal for beginners or academy students who want to pick and choose. Start there, in the kits section, and reorder by the box once your bookings tell you what you actually consume.

4. Pre-treatment: four products, in order

The manufacturer's own microneedling programmes do not begin with the machine. They begin with two steps of cleansing and two steps of acid preparation, and skipping them changes the treatment you are giving.

  1. Mild Cleansing Milk, 290 ml — applied across the face to remove make-up and residue, 1.5 to 2 minutes.
  2. Hydrating Rose Toner, 290 ml — applied on a cotton pad, 1 minute, to soothe skin irritated by external exposure.
  3. Dermawhite Exfoliating Gel, 290 ml — applied thickly with a brush, avoiding eyes and lips. Timing is by skin type: 2 minutes for sensitive, 3 for normal, 5 for oily.
  4. Dermawhite Neutralising Foam, 150 ml — massaged in for 2 to 3 minutes to stop the action of the acids and restore the skin's pH.

The foam is the step people treat as optional. It is not: its stated job is to stop the acid, and an unneutralised acid under a microneedling pass is a different treatment from the one you planned. The gel and foam are also sold together as an exfoliation set, which is the sensible way to keep them in step on the shelf.

5. Aftercare

The manufacturer's post-treatment product is the STAYVE Repair Cream, supplied in 1 g pouches, 100 per box. The single-dose format is the point: no jar, no fingers, no cross-contamination between clients, and an easy unit to hand over or price into the treatment. The catalogue's instruction is to apply it evenly to the whole face and neck and massage gently for about a minute.

Keep the rest of the Facial Treat line on the same shelf, and put sun protection in the client's aftercare card — the manufacturer insists on sunscreen after peeling, and the same reasoning applies to freshly needled skin.

6. Hygiene rules that are not negotiable

  • Cartridges are single use. One client, one cartridge, disposed of immediately. There is no cleaning protocol that makes a used needle cartridge reusable.
  • MISSMITO needles fit MISSMITO machines only. The catalogue states plainly that MISSMITO's needles are not suitable for other brands of machines. A cartridge that is nearly right is a depth error waiting to happen.
  • The handpiece goes on the cradle between passes — the manufacturer's own stated reason for including it is sanitary handling during the procedure.
  • Ampoules have a working life. The Dermawhite documentation states that once opened, the product should be used within two weeks and kept refrigerated. Date the vial when you open it.
  • Screen every client against the manufacturer's exclusions: keloid constitution, diabetes complications, skin infections and bleeding diseases. These belong on the consultation form, not in your memory.

7. The professional-use notice

These are professional products. The peeling range in particular is sold in a professional version and the catalogue says plainly that practice is required and that side effects may occur if the method of use is not followed. Nothing in the manufacturer's documentation replaces training, and nothing in it replaces your national rules on who may perform needling and to what depth.

Training, certification and insurance requirements for microneedling differ from country to country; check the rules where you practise before you add the treatment to your menu. When you order professional-use products, we may ask you to confirm your professional status, as set out in our Terms and Conditions.

The short version

Machine and cradle. Both cartridge types, in quantity, single use. One kit rather than nine boxes while you learn your own demand. Cleansing milk, toner, exfoliating gel and neutralising foam, used in that order and with the stated timings. Repair cream in single-dose pouches. A consultation form that carries the four exclusions. That is a room that can open bookings — everything after it is menu design.
